Costume and Make-up Information
Costumes!
- We strongly encourage all girls to have a nude camisole leotard to wear under their costumes. (These can be purchased at any store that sells dancewear.) The girls need to be able to change costumes quickly among a large group of cast members (male and female).
- We also strongly recommend that each cast member bring a labeled laundry basket or some other large tote to each tech rehearsal and show. This is an easy way to store and keep track of all of their make-up, hair supplies, and costumes pieces.
CHARACTER SPECIFIC COSTUME INFORMATION: Please provide the following costume items based on your character.
- CAMP ROCKERS (Includes CONNECT 3 and all other PRINCIPAL CHARACTERS unless otherwide noted):
- Two Summer Camp Outfits (shirts and shorts). No logos or large graphics!
- Orange Camp Rock T-Shirt (Label Your Shirt!!!!)
- Pair of Jeans
- Coordinating closed-toed shoes that are good for dancing. (No crocs, flip-flops, or sandles)
- STAR CAMPERS (Includes DANA):
- Two summer camp outfits (shirt and shorts). No logos or large graphics!
- Coordinating closed-toed shoes that are good for dancing. (No crocs, flip-flops, or sandals)
- Black Jazz Shoes to wear during "Fire" and "Tear It Down"
- Tan Tights to wear during "Fire" and "Tear It Down"
- Black Booty Shorts (Fitted black shorts that can be worn under your skirt for "Fire" and "Tear It Down").
- All other costume pieces for "Fire" and "Tear It Down" will be provided by The A.C.T.
- JASON:
- Follow the Camp Rocker costume guidlines listed above, but remember that your character is a boy and dress accordingly. We would recommend wearing jeans rather than shorts.
- BARRON and SANDER:
- Two hip-hop style outfits. (i.e. rolled up sweats with a bright colored top)
- Hip-hop shoes
- Orange Camp Rock T-Shirt (Label Your Shirt!!!)
- Jeans
- TESS
- Two "Tess-style" summer camp outfits
- Black Jazz Shoes, tan tights and booty shorts for "Tear It Down"
- All other costume pieces for "Tear It Down" will be provided by The A.C.T.
- LUKE
- Two "hip-hop style" summer camp outfits. No logos or large graphics.
- Black Jazz Shoes for "Fire" and "Tear It Down"
- All other costume pieces for "Fire" and "Tear It Down" will be provided by The A.C.T.
- COUNSELORS:
- Jeans or Denim Shorts (Camp Star Counselor and Camp Rock Counselor T-shirts will be provided by The A.C.T.)
- Coordinating closed-toed shoes that are good for dancing. (No crocs, flip-flops, or sandals)
- Black Jazz Shoes to wear during "Tear It Down"
- Tan Tights to wear during "Tear It Down"

- GEORGINA:
- Black Jazz Shoes or Character Shoes
- Tan Tights
- All Camp Rocker costume items listed above except the Orange Camp Rock T-Shirt
- All other costume pieces for Georgina will be provided by The A.C.T.
- BROWN:
- Two T-shirts and a pair of jeans. (Laid back former rock-star look).
- Hat
- AXEL
- Slick Rock-Star Look. (Jeans, solid colored T-shirt, slicked back hair)
- Black Shoes (jazz, hip-hop, or sneakers)
- Leather Jacket will be provided by The A.C.T.
Make-up!
All cast members need Make-Up--including the boys. We are looking for a "natural look" for the show. However, you should look like you have some color on. You will need to apply a bit more then "everyday makeup" as the stage lights will wash you out some. Please, no over the top applications!
Below is a list of all the makeup you will need. Please note that you should choose a foundation that is one shade darker than your actual skin color because of the stage lighting. If you need help matching your foundation you can see "Pat" at the Acton CVS in the Roche Brothers Plaza. (Pat's hours are Mondays, Tuesdays, & Saturdays from 10am-5pm and Sundays from 10am-4pm) You are welcome to use make-up that you have from past productions, however, for hygienic reasons, we recommend that you buy new eye liner and mascara if you have had it over three months.
Everyone should arrive to dress rehearsal and the shows with hair and make-up already done. However, please bring your make-up with you in case touch-ups are needed.
All cast members should wear:
- Foundation
- Blush
- Eye Shadow (Neutral Colors)
- Eye Liner (Black or Brown)
- Mascara (Black or Brown)
- Lipstick ("Garnet" or similar color.) No pale pinks or bright reds.
Additional items you might want or need:

Hair!
- Girls should style hair so that it is pulled away from the face! All bangs need to be pulled back off of the forehead. Headbands, barrettes, or ponytails are all good options.
- If you are a girl playing a boy, please pull your hair back in a low ponytail or bun.
- If you are playing two different characters, please have two different hairstyles planned. For example, wear a ponytail as a Camp Rocker and hair down with a headband as Georgina.
- Boys with longer bangs need to make sure their hair is styled in such a way that their eyes are visible.
